What is the best communications solution for my organisation?

It is widely known that good communication requires reliable, accurate and timely exchange of information - however the way this is accomplished will vary greatly between situations and user requirements. Henry Petroski sums up the design challenge well, when he says "All design involves conflicting objectives and hence compromise, and the best designs will always be those that come up with the best compromise"[1]

There is no ‘Silver Bullet’ technology, and there is no one product that will meet all customer requirements. Even inside a single customer, there may be multiple competing requirements that need to be addressed. It is for this reason, that although we use common products between a number of our solutions, the implementation is often very different in each.

Understanding the ‘user requirement’ is critical and we find it is often best approached in iterative stages. The nuances of solution usability are often not obvious, taking time and hands-on experience to fully understand.
